The Green Zone is the place you can stand down.
It’s where the armour comes off.
Where rank stays at the door.
Where you are not a file, a number, or a posting.
The Green Zone exists so military service members — past and present — can speak freely about trauma, operational stress, and military sexual trauma without judgment or career fear.
This is a space for real conversations.
The ones that don’t happen in the mess.
The ones that don’t make it into reports.
The ones you carry quietly.
Here, you do not have to prove your strength.
You have served your country.
Now it is time to return to yourself.
Service demands discipline, loyalty, and endurance.
But when trauma happens — especially sexual trauma within the ranks — survival often requires silence.
The Green Zone challenges that silence and creates autonomy.
Our mission is simple:
To create a confidential, empowering space where military members can process trauma, rebuild identity, and reclaim control without shame.

My background includes:
Civilian sector work with survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation
Current work within the Department of National Defence at the Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre (SMSRC) – Restorative Engagement Program
I understand both the civilian and military systems.

And I understand the courage it takes to speak.
I encourage you to come as you are.
